Job Description
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for entering client electrical data into SKM software and performing Short Circuit, Coordination, and Arc-Flash studies for client facilities. Travel for this position is negotiable from 5-50%, based on preferences.

Qualifications
Must have a BSEE from an accredited college or university. Power engineering experience is helpful but not necessary. SKM software experience is preferred. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills and be able to work in a team environment.

Essential Duties

  • Input electrical data into SKM software
  • Perform Short Circuit Studies
  • Perform Coordination Studies
  • Perform Arc-Flash Studies
  • Working with Sales Department on project estimating
  • Process Improvement
  • Possible onsite field work is available if desired
  • Other duties as needed

This position requires a BSEE, and authorization to work in the U.S.

Job Description
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for performing power system and engineering studies and to provide technical support to field staff along with our service center.

  • Power system studies that include ground fault settings, short circuit, and protective device coordination
  • Electrical power system documentation including:  system configuration, equipment ratings and settings
  • Prepare estimates and take-offs for engineering study project proposals
  • Perform Arc Flash Studies which may include data collection, Short-circuit coordination studies, arc flash evaluations
  • Maintain customer records related to engineering work
  • Possible onsite field work is available if desired
  • Travel for this position is negotiable from 5-50%

Qualifications

BSEE

  • Professional standing; possesses or working towards P.E. license.
  • 2 or more years experience in electrical engineering arc flash analysis.
  • The ability to execute precise verbal and writing skills to communicate effectively with clients, field engineers, peers, and management.
  • Working knowledge of NETA, NFPA 70E
  • Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook, and SKM PowerTools. Knowledge of E-TAP or Easy Power a plus.
